Available, affordable live bait is crucial to the recreational fishing industry, but at the moment it is harder to come by and even more expensive to purchase.
Quartro Wieboldt’s “six pack” has sat high and dry for more than five years waiting for an opportunity to return to Gulf waters, its federal fishing permit still active and proudly attached to the side.
The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has scheduled a series of Recreational Angler Participation sessions – or RAP sessions – to hear about the issues Gulf of Mexico recreational anglers have regarding current federal fisheries management, and to explore potential solutions to those issues.
