Nearly $7,000 was raised for Foodways Texas, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, preserving and celebrating the diverse food cultures of Texas. Foodways Texas’ next event is its annual symposium in Bryan/College Station.
Caracol owners Tracy Vaught and Chef Hugo Ortega were hosts to the event which featured Texas appellation and Gulf oysters such as Ladies Pass, Stephenson and Slim Jim Reef provided by Gulf Seafood Institute board member Jim Gossen of Louisiana Foods Global Seafood Source , as well as Jeri’s Seafood.
